Ongoing Children's Program

Limud - A Different Kind of Hebrew School

Limud is not your grandparents’ Hebrew school…children are actually excited to attend! Limud focuses, above all, on values and experiential learning.

We believe in “whole person learning”, which is acquired not only through books, but also—and perhaps more so—through doing and experiencing. This includes a vigorous social action program, and exciting special programming.

We are supremely proud of our post-Bar/Bat Mitzvah students. Many remain closely connected to Limud as counselors and tutors (madrichim) for our younger students. Limud High students meet on Sunday mornings to learn about topics that interest them, and we take their feedback and input very seriously. They are our most trusted advisers.

CTI’s Limud is unique, beloved by parents and students, and a source of great pride to the entire congregation.

Kiki’s Kids Teen Youth Group (Grades 8-12)

The CTI Youth Group gatherings place a focus on age-appropriate social and spiritual interests. Our teen programs encourage students to dive into interests, both old and new, take part in fun team activities, and explore Jewish values and ideas together.

Kiki’s Kids Youth Group

Kiki’s Kids (Grades 1-7) and Kiki’s Kids Jr. (Grades Pre K & K) take place on Sunday afternoons from 12:30 pm-2:00 pm, so be sure to check the calendar!

You can become a member of Kiki’s Kids for a flat rate, or join individual programs for $20.00 each.

Sunday Morning Early Childhood Program

CTI’s Pre-K to Kindergarten program meets on Sunday mornings with Morah Melissa. Children learn and take part in Jewish prayers, holidays, stories, songs, crafts, and play.

Wolpert Scholarships

The Wolpert College Scholarships were initiated to provide financial assistance for CTI members and children of CTI members through a gift endowment. Scholarships are available to those who meet requirements set by the Wolpert Committee guidelines. Applications are distributed at a meeting each December or January.

CTI Library

A professional librarian oversees an outstanding collection of Jewish-themed books for adults and children, creating a stimulating learning environment.

PJ Library

This international program provides free Jewish children’s books to families every month, to encourage parents to read Jewish stories with their children and talk together about important values, traditions, and cultures. PJ Library meets for “TOT Shabbat” the first Friday evening of every month at 5:30, for Shabbat, music, crafts, and play.

Tallit Making Workshop for Grades 6 & 7

CTI’s Limud Hebrew School offers a series of tallit-making workshops for upcoming B’nai Mitzvah students so they can create their own tallit to wear at their Bar and Bat Mitzvah and for years to come. The students design, sew and wrap the tzi tzi (strings that hang from the garment.)
