Where Everyone is Welcome

CTI’s strength lies in the closeness of our members. We share one another’s joys and support each other during the sad times. You’re invited to experience our loving and caring community.

Walk into Congregation Tifereth Israel, and you’re “home.” Our dynamic, pluralistic congregation, with a strong belief in “Judaism without Borders,” is all-inclusive, embracing people of all ages, backgrounds, orientations, and family structures. You need only to walk through the building, any day of the week, to feel the excitement. We honor all traditions and spiritual journeys. Young families, singles, seniors, interfaith couples, Jews by Choice, LGBTQ- wherever you are on the Jewish spectrum, those who have found God, those searching for God, and those who just aren’t sure, there’s a place for you here, with your friends.

CTI’s strength lies in the closeness of our members. We invite you to experience our loving and caring community- attend a service, take a class, participate in Tikkun Olam (Healing the World), sing, dance, cook, study, chat, perform a mitzvah, and celebrate with us.

Please don’t hesitate to introduce yourselves to us. We look forward to helping you feel comfortable in our warm, welcoming community where every voice is heard.

Interfaith & LGBTQ

Does your family observe different religious traditions? Are you an interfaith family? Are you a member of the LGBQT community? CTI welcomes all individuals and families to be a part of our community.

Everyone is welcome to attend our engaging services, conducted in English and Hebrew; for those who can’t read Hebrew, our prayer books provide phonetic renderings of the prayers.

Everyone is invited to participate in all programs, including adult education classes, social action programs, holiday observances, and social events.

Interfaith member families are encouraged to mark lifecycle events with us. We are happy to honor you by calling you to the pulpit (bimah) for a baby naming, a Brit Milah, a child’s Bar/Bat Mitzvah, or any other special occasion. All children of interfaith members may attend our Hebrew School (Limud). Our children are our most precious blessing.
