"pluralistic" faculty: a wide range of teachers

Congregation Tifereth Israel honors the teachings and best practices of all Jewish denominations. Our regular teaching staff includes Rabbi Molly Karp (Pluralistic), Rabbi Isaac Mann (Orthodox) and Rabbi Simcha Raphael (Renewal), among others.

Rabbi Molly Karp will discuss Arthur Hertzberg’s classic work, The Zionist Idea, which introduces Zionist thought and its history, with selections from the writings of leading Zionist figures from the 19th and 20th centuries such as Theodor Herzl, and Ahad Ha-am, as well as selections from the journal of Puah Rakovsky, a Zionist Feminist contemporary of Herzl who lived in Poland at the Time.

Rabbi Karp is a freelance veteran Jewish Educator, teaching Torah, Hebrew, and more. She was ordained at the Academy for Jewish Religion in Riverdale, NY, and trained in Hebrew Bible at the Jewish Theological Seminary. Her MA in Jewish Education is from HUC-JIR in New York; her BA in Judaic Studies is from SUNY Binghamton.

Rabbi Karp's lectures are free and open to the public.  No prior knowledge is needed.
Donations to cover her honorarium are welcome.
